Summary
Site Reporting with Bing Webmaster Tools (BWT) helps users understand the macro trends impacting the search landscape. With global clicks and impressions provided by Bing Webmaster Tools, users can see global trends in the growth or decline of your website’s visibility in Bing search engines.
Good to Know
- Displays Global Search Engines versus GSC where it displays by country level.
- Initial Integration, we will automatically backfill 180 days.
- If data validation is needed, we have BWT Explorer to use in admin screen.
Process (API Key - Recommended):
Step 1: Log in to the BrightEdge Account. Select account then navigate to Settings> Integrations> Bing Webmaster Tools> Click on "Integrate with API Key"
Step 2: Log into Bing Webmaster Tools > Open Settings
Step 3: Select API access > API Key - Generate Key
Step 4: Generate the API Key
Step 5: Return to BrightEdge and enter the API Key
Step 6: Select the Property to be added
Step 7: The platform will return to a confirmation screen.
Note: Collection will occur automatically and will be displayed in Site Report under the search engine "All Bing Search Engines" within 24hrs.
Process (OAuth - not recommended):
Step 1: Log in to the BrightEdge Account. Select account then navigate to Settings> Integrations> Bing Webmaster Tools> Click on "Integrate with OAuth"
Step 2: Authenticate. Enter credentials to BWT and Click "Allow."
Step 3: Select website or property from the list and click "Save" at the bottom right.
Step 4: After step 3, the platform will return to a confirmation screen.
Note: Collection will occur automatically and will be displayed in Site Report under the search engine "All Bing Search Engines" within 24hrs.
